Welcome to James Fisher MIMIC

James Fisher MIMIC provides maintenance software and consulting services to the defence and commercial sectors of the International Shipping Industry.

The company has successfully worked with the Royal Navy since 1988 where the MIMIC condition monitoring system forms an integral part of the UK MoD’s policy of Reliability Centred Maintenance. MIMIC products are installed onboard some 83 ships, submarines and shore establishments.

The company was first established in 1986 as a division of Wolfson Maintenance Engineering, specialising in the provision of reliability engineering and condition monitoring. In 2003 the business was acquired by James Fisher who have continued to develop the software and the service offered.

Our People
All MIMIC Marine consultants are qualified seagoing engineers having extensive experience of the requirements for asset management in an operational environment and detailed diagnostic techniques including vibration monitoring and analysis.

Our software development team is based in Manchester and has extensive experience in the development of bespoke solutions for industrial, commercial and marine applications.
